Moving -- !

I'm moving this blog to my main personal blog. Now that I have a separate blog for scrapbooking, and for my business, I've decided that maintaining two personal blogs is just too much. Ch-Ch-Changes

I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago saying that I will be making some changes to my list. I've finally had some time to sit down and figure out what I want to change. So, here they are.

004. Cook 2 new dishes a month for 6 months will be changed to Cook 20 new dishes. I don't want to have a set amount to cook each month, it makes me worry. Instead, I have changed it to a total amount of dishes, and I've added more dishes.
016. Don't eat fast food more than twice a month, each month will be changed to Eat as least 15 home cooked meals every month. It is easier for me to keep track of what I eat at home rather than when I eat out. Also, giving myself the allowance of two fast foods makes me feel like I have a coupon I can use. I didn't like thinking of it that way.
024. Straighten my bottom teeth will be changed to Get my teeth whitened. With everything going on right now, I won't have enough money to pay for this. And I wasn't sure if it would be finished by then.
028. Wake up before 10am every morning consecutively for a year will be changed to Wake up before 10am at least five times a week for one year. Waking up before 10am everyday for one year is purely impossible for me. Some days I just need to be able to sleep in. I will record this goal by weeks instead of 5x a week for 52 weeks.
030. Track my health progress in a notebook will be changed to Track my health progress on my blog. I find it easier to update my blog than my notebook.
047. Visit all counties in Washington will be changed to Visit half the counties in Washington. Washington has way too many counties. This goal is nearly impossible since I don't have a big budget for traveling right now. Besides, I'd rather spend the money going to other places than trying to visit each county. I would like to visit half the counties though. I'm already halfway there. I might change this again later if I move to a different state or if I find something more interesting.
056.Attend 2 Seattle Mariners games (one home and one away) -- see below
057.Attend 2 Seattle Seahawks games (one home and one away) will be combined with the goal above and be changed to Attend 2 Seattle sports games. These types of events cost a lot of cash, and I don't think I would be able to attend four games within two years. I will add an additional goal later on, I just don't know what to replace it with yet.

005. Start and maintain a book log for the duration of this challenge
008. Learn how to drive stick shift
033. Donate a gallon of blood
040. Help the Hubby create his own 101 in 1001 list
048. Visit a ghost town
071. Make a geocache and hide it
072. Find 10 geocaches [0/10]
073. Discover 5 geocoins [0/5]
087. Own at least 50 piggy banks [11/50]

I made a lot of these goals in the beginning is a rush to write the list. I don't feel that bad with changing them because sometimes you lose interest in certain activities. I will make the second set of updates when I figure out what to change them to.

Revamping

I've been taking a look at my list lately, and I've realized that some of the goals aren't interesting to me anymore. So, I will be changing up some of the goals. I will make a post (or two) about which goals I'm changing, and what the new goals will be. Stay tuned for that!

New Layout

I've decided to change the layout. I really love this one. Its so simple, but great at the same time. I need to change the colors I've been using for my posts too. But I will change them later, I'm too lazy right now (which has been happening lately). Haha...I'm off for now. Let me know what you think!

My Goals

I've decided that 50 goals is way too many for one year. So, I'm just gonna stick with the 30 goals that I've already posted. Let's see how I do with that list.

A New Beginning

Its been a while since I last made a post. Sorry. I haven't really worked much on my list. Its not that I'm busy, because I'm really not. Even with the holidays coming around, I still find myself with plenty of time on my hands. My only problem is that I'm not motivated. I need to change that... but for now, I will let you all know about my plans for this blog.

I plan to combine this blog with my bucket list blog. Its hard to maintain them blog (plus all my others as well). And since the topics are pretty much the same, I figure it won't be too bad of a change. For now, I will keep it dedicated to my challenge, and just have the bucket list as a side part. Later on down the road, I might dedicate it to my bucket list, but for now, it will stay dedicated to my challenge.

I have some updates to my challenge, but they are minor ones, so I'm not gonna blog about it. They aren't completed goals, just updates. Also, I will be changing around the layout a bit, to accommodate my bucket list. From now on, in my menu bar, my challenge list will be referred to as "101 in 1001 List" and my bucket list will be "Bucket List". Simple, right? So, no more "master list" because that would be too confusing.

Alright then. Hopefully I will make a post by tomorrow night. If not, then I will see y'all after Christmas. I have a photobook to make before Christmas eve, and a contest that ends the day after Christmas. I will be plenty busy in the next week. Happy Holidays!

New Layout (again ♥)

Hi everyone! I have a new layout with different colors (again!). I was kind of getting tired of the last layout, so I changed it. I've been sick for the past week, so I haven't been in the mood to update (like usual, I'm sorry!), but I have a dentist appointment early in the morning tomorrow and I will most likely be wide awake afterwards. I plan on updating my blog and hopefully complete some tasks as well..(hopefully). So tell me, how do you like the new layout? Have a great night.

New Way of Posting

Ok, I have to admit. I know these postings have been boring. So, from now on, I will only update you on the progresses that have pictures. Oh, and I will update you on all completed tasks, no matter if I will have pictures or not. Then, at the end of every month, I will give you a long update on everything that I've accomplished throughout the month. I will also be updating my numbers on the master list, and the accompanying lists, like movie list, book list, etc. If you haven't heard from me in a while, you can always check out my master list to see if I'd added any updates! I'm going to www.freerice.com after I finish posting, so I will have a picture and a post for you soon! Stay tuned!

Also, I've changed my layout to match my postcard blog. And I've added stuff to my sidebar, and organized it a little better. I hope you like it!

Monthly Update for September

I've completed my first month. Not my first full month, but my first calendar month. Every month I will update everyone on my challenge progress. I'll go over everything I've done over the month, including any updates since last time.

016. Don't eat fast food more than twice a month, each month [1/34]
One month down! For September, I included the whole month because I didn't want to cheat myself by only counting the days of the challenge.
021. Take multi-vitamins everyday for a month [18/30]
I haven't completed a whole month yet because I started my challenge in the middle of the month. I have 18 days so far, so I should be finished by the middle of October.
027. Take 10 whole-day breaks from the Internet [1/10]
I completed one break this month. I'm thinking about taking at least one break each month, even after I've completed my goal. I think its healthy for me. Maybe for my next list, I'll make myself take a break from the computer, instead of just the internet. What do you think?
028. Wake up before 10am every morning consecutively for a year [0/365]
I am definitely not a morning person. This one is an unrealistic goal, I might have to end up not completing this one. Ugh. I can wake up early every once in a while, but I don't think I will be able to do it for a whole year.
034. Send 50 postcards via http://www.postcrossing.com/ [18/50]
I've sent 18! I love sending postcards! I've received seven so far. I sent four today and I will send two tomorrow, so hopefully I will get some more postcards soon! I haven't visited anywhere soon since I started this challenge. I've only listed the ones that I visited before the challenge.

I've only watched six so far. I want to get half done in October.
063. Watch all 8 seasons of Charmed [2/8]
I completed season 2 today! Woohoo! I will probably watch some more tomorrow.
065. Hang out with friends at least once a month [1/34]
I hanged out with my friend, Stephanie, on September 29th. She had a baby in the beginning in the month. This was my first day that I was actually able to see the baby. He is so cute! I wasn't able to get any pictures though. It sucks.
068. Watch 101 movies [2/101]
Only two movies so far, Bride Wars and Marley and Me. I need to watch some more movies.
078. Put $5 in savings for every task completed [$10/$505]
I've only completed two tasks so far so I only have $10 in savings.
080. Earn $100 from blogging in one year (previous money earned does not count) [$2.69/$100]
This is only half a month's worth so its not much. Hopefully I will have a lot more by next month.
082. Write a letter to myself to be opened on the last day of the challenge
This one was accomplished in the beginning of my challenge.
087. Own at least 50 piggy banks [8/50]
I haven't bought any since last time, but so far, I have eight piggy banks. Yay!
091. Add 100 more playing card sets to my collection [4/100]
I haven't gotten any more since the last time.
092. Add 200 more DVDs to my collection [10/200]
I haven't gotten any more since the last time.
096. Reach 50 followers on this blog [10/100]
I have 11 followers so far! Yay! Keep on following, please.
097. Blog about every completed item on the list [2/101]
I've only completed two goals so far, so I only have two here, but I have blogged about everything that I've progress on so far.
099. Create weekly goals and checklists to keep myself motivated
This one was also completed in the beginning when I created my notebook that I'm using for this challenge.

I think I've done a good job so far, don't you think?

2 days to go!

Whoo! Only 2 days to go until my official start date. I'm just about ready to get started. I almost finished my notebook that I'mma use to document the whole challenge. This is gonna be fun and interesting. Well, see you guys in 2 days!

The Pre-event To The Big Event

Hi. First off, my name is Leilanie. I'm 20 years old and I live in Washington state, in the United States. Some people know me by my middle name, which is Marie. That is the name I go by on my other blogs [Travelin' With Marie] (check em out when you get a chance). I first came across the 101 in 1001 challenge from one of my blogger friends. I was really curious so I decided to see what it was about. And anyone that knows me know's that I love to create lists. I love to create goals. I feel accomplished when I'm able to cross something off my list. Even if its something as simple as taking my vitamins or washing the laundry. I'm also a big fan of The Bucket List. I have many goals and tasks I want to accomplish before I, well, kick the bucket. So, I figured this would be a great challenge for me. I'm sure I will have fun and meet a lot of people along the way.

Since it is already past September 1st, I'm deciding the wait until October 1st to officially start my list. I know a few other people that are also starting on this day so I know I will have supporters alongside me. I'm a BIG procrastinator, but I'm GREAT at organizing. Kinda weird, huh? To work against my procrastination, I will create checklists, and weekly goals, and many things to keep me motivated. This is a big project and I plan on completing all of my goals.

**Edit: I can't wait for October 1st... it's too far from now and I have nothing to do at the moment anyway. So I moved up my start date to September 15th. Still a few days away, but not that far away. Hope y'all don't mind :]
